Never Fail Fudge

3 cups sugar
1 5oz. can evaporated milk (half and half or whole milk can be used, the richer the milk the richer the taste).
1 7oz. jar of marshmallow cream (you can use regular marshmallows, 7oz. is 7oz. so just use your best judgement, if you have a 16 oz. package of marshmallows, use your math, 1/2 pk. is 8oz. The 1oz. more or less is not going to make a heck of a difference.)
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup butter
1 cup chopped nuts (nuts are optional if you don’t like them don’t put them in, this recipe calls for walnuts, but if you prefer a different nut use it).
1 pk. chocolate chips semi-sweet, but if you rather milk chocolate will work.

This will make a big batch so your 9 x 13 cake pan will work well for it. Butter the sides and bottom and set it aside until your fudge is done.

Combine sugar, butter, and milk (use a good heavy pot, sugar burns easy) bring to a rolling boil while stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes or until a candy thermometer reaches 238°. Remove from heat, add vanilla, marshmallows, chocolate chips and nuts. Stir until all is blended and pour into your pan.
