I have had a lot of life experience and will be glad to share any of what I have learned along the way. Please feel free to write and ask me anything, it doesn’t have to pertain to cooking and I will do my best to give you the advice as if you are my own grand child. If I can’t come up with a good answer for you I will try to guide you to someone who may be able to help. I know what heart ache is, and what it’s like to have difficulties in life. I wish I could say say I have all the answers but I don’t.
I’m not of any particular religion, so it won’t be words with godly advise, just the advise I’d give one of my love ones.
That said I thought maybe someone might be interested in where I’ve gained my knowledge on cooking. I have had a life time of experience from starting out selling popcorn in a theater at the age of 12, to working in quantity cooking. I have never worked for a large fancy restaurant, just mom and pop places, some work in nursing home, cooking for seniors, and one of my favorite jobs was cooking for a large summer camp, that would have a varity of people from the very young to adults of all ages. It was a large camp in Minnesota that during the winter would have different church groups come for the week end. My children were young at the time and they were able to go with me and do the things that
the people there were able to do, so they had a wide verity of activities. The camp held around 250 people. It was a great experience for us all.
I have had a lot of bad luck, so I spent most of my life raising my three
children myself. I had a lot of different jobs most all in the cooking field. I have always had to squeeze every dime out of my money to make ends meet and I have gotten very good at it. I don’t think that if you talk to my
kids they would say they ever went without the things they needed or wanted. My youngest has had to help out more at home as there is a large gap in the ages of my children the youngest my son, is going to be twenty eight, my daughter is thirty four and my oldest son is forty three.
That made my youngest home with me alone after the other two left, to lead their own lives. My youngest son had to work to help keep us going as there wasn’t enough income from my work to do it alone. He worked in the local grocery store and between us we were able to keep us going. He is married now with two sons of his own and he and his wife have worked hard and we all do for each other.
I was hurt in an automobile accident and haven’t been able to work for over eight years now. My son and his wife help me with keeping up my apartment, and I help them by taking care of their two boys while they work. It has been a privilege to help take care of them and I was very fortunate to be able to have a hand in helping my daughter with raising her daughter too, she has always been a joy in my life. The only thing that matters to me in life, is my kids and my grand kids. My oldest son has had a troublesome life, married and divorced at a young age and I’m sorry to say that I have not been able to have a relationship with his two boys, but they are always in my heart.
Well that’s enough of my life for now if anyone is interested in more details feel free to email me and I’ll try to tell you what ever you want to know.
Thank You and good luck.
